Project Seikoholic was initiated by readers of Andywristwatches.blogspot.com, a watch blog that was maintained by Dato' Andy in his horology journey.
Since 2013, readers have been asking to participate in a watch project that we could called our own- and through exchanges between some of the active readers cum collectors here, ideas were bounced back and forth. While we love watches from various brands, one brand seemed to unite us all; in that we were all self-professed Seikoholics.
The 1st model produced under Project Seikoholic was ApocalypseNow, which came in 3 colours namely OceanBlue (sunburst), OceanGreen (sunburst), and OceanBlack (classic matt).
ApocalypseNow aimed to pay homage to the vintage Seiko 6105-8110, which was produced between 1968 - 1977 and earned its place in the horology history as a military-issued watch during the Vietnam war. To gain more insight, one could watch the Vietnam war movie i.e. Apocalypse Now, in which Charlie Sheen's character i.e. Captain Willard wore the vintage watch during his posting in Vietnam.
Compared to the vintage piece, our current model had seen some improvements as per the following :

- Caseback : Screw-in back
- Bezel : Lumed ceramic bezel insert
- Dial : Seikoholic
- Handset : Seikoholic

- Band : Thick vintage calf leather / Tropical 70s waffle rubber
- Lugs : 20mm
- Water resistant : 200m
- Availability : Immediate (limited batch of 30 pieces)
Please put in a remark on the type of strap of your preference, which we would try to accommodate on a first-come-first-serve basis. In the event that the option was no longer available, the next available strap would be utilised.
All Project Seikoholic watches would be shipped with generic watch boxes, carefully wrapped to ensure safe shipment during transit.
